Sara Uldry Júlio received her Bachelor;s and Master;s degree in Biology specializing in Biochemistry and Neuroscience, respectively, at the ETH Zurich in 2019. During her Masters she participated in three research projects. She researched on regulators of adult neural stem cell proliferation in drosophila at PI Christa Rhiner's lab part of the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown (CCU) in Lisbon, Portugal. Subsequently, she moved to New York City, USA, to assess student attentional engagement from brain activity, eye tracking and heart rate variability during audiovisual stimuli presentation working with Jens Madsen, PhD, in the lab of Prof. Lucas Parra at the Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI) in the City College of New York (CCNY). She returned to Zurich to perform her Master thesis in the sensory group of the Spinal Cord Injury Center of Balgrist University Hospital under the supervision of PD Dr. med. Martin Schubert and Michèle Hubli, PhD, and mentored by Robin Lütolf on comparison of contact heat and electrically evoked pain related potentials.

Sara started her PhD in March 2020 at the Spinal Cord Injury Center of Balgrist University Hospital focusing on physiology and pathophysiology of pain related evoked potentials supervised by PD Dr. med. Martin Schubert.
