Upon finishing my pre-medical studies, I studied Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Shifa international hospital, Islamabad, Pakistan. During my degree, my main research focus was on Neuro rehabilitation, Movement disorders and early developmental disorders in children. My thesis was also focused on children with Cerebral Palsy.
After completing my DPT degree, I started working at Shifa international hospital, Islamabad, Pakistan and my main focus was on the rehabilitation of patients with Stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple sclerosis and Cerebral Palsy. Moreover, I have worked with patients in intensive care units, cardiac care units and orthopaedic surgery units as well.
I did my master's in “Applied Neuroscience Sports and Exercise” from Paderborn University, Germany. My research project was focused on the effect of balance tasks on postural control and cortical activity after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Surgery. I conducted my Master thesis at the Swiss Center for Movement Analysis (SCMA), Universitätsklinik Balgrist, Zürich. In my thesis I conducted an EEG explorative study in the healthy participants to examine the cortical involvement in the StartReact effect.
From august 2023 I have joined Neuro-Urology department, Universitätsklinik Balgrist for my PhD.
